Welcome to the Bedford Stuyvesant Community Partnership (BedStuy CP), where we are dedicated to building stronger families and a healthier community in the heart of Brooklyn’s historic BedStuy neighborhood.
Bedford-Stuyvesant-affectionately known as BedStuy-has long been a vibrant center of African- American culture and history, renowned for its rich heritage and strong sense of community. Today, BedStuy CP continues that legacy by connecting local families with essential resources and services that support economic stability, health, and overall well-being.
We offer a range of programs and referrals, including food distributions, school supply drives, and access to mental and physical health resources. Through these efforts, we help empower families, foster resilience, and contribute to the continued growth and vitality of Bed-Stuy. At BedStuy CP, we believe that by supporting each other, we can create a thriving, inclusive, and sustainable neighborhood for generations to come.
Workshops
The Bedford-Stuyvesant Community Partnership hosts a diverse range of workshops designed to strengthen family bonds, empower youth, and engage seniors, fostering a strong sense of social capital in the Bed-Stuy section of Brooklyn. Among its standout programs is The Comfort Brew, a welcoming community roundtable where residents gather to openly discuss local issues, share stories, and build mutual understanding in a relaxed, coffeehouse-style setting. This initiative fosters dialogue across generations and backgrounds, reinforcing trust and collaboration. Mommy & Me, Daddy & Me Game Night encourages active family engagement through playful, structured interaction that deepens the parent-child relationship while connecting families to one another in a supportive environment. For the youth, Vibe and Flow provides a safe, judgment-free space to express emotions, explore challenges, and build resilience through conversation and creative expression. Seniors also find a sense of belonging and creative stimulation in the Arts and Crafts workshops, which offer not only artistic engagement but also companionship and mental stimulation. Together, these initiatives do more than just offer services—they weave a tightly-knit network of support, nurturing "community within community" and building essential social capital that uplifts the entire Bed-Stuy neighborhood. Check out the Event Section for other up-and-coming events.
Individual & Family Resources
WThe Bedford-Stuyvesant Community Partnership (Bd-Stuy Community Partnership) is committed to strengthening the well-being of families and individuals across our community by connecting them to a wide range of vital support services and resources. We work collaboratively with local agencies and service providers to ensure residents have access to comprehensive, culturally responsive assistance tailored to their needs.
Mental Health Services
We connect families to licensed mental health providers offering counseling, trauma-informed care, substance use support, crisis intervention, and family therapy. We work with organizations that serve all age groups, including children, adolescents, and adults.
Continued Resources
Educational & School-Based Resources:
Bed-Stuy helps families navigate school systems and obtain academic support services, including tutoring programs, special education advocacy, parent engagement workshops, and support for students facing disciplinary or attendance challenges.
Housing & NYCHA Support:
Families in need of housing assistance are referred to resources including tenant advocacy, NYCHA navigation support, emergency housing services, and connections to legal aid for housing-related matters.
Medical & Health Services:
We help families access primary healthcare providers, pediatric care, dental services, immunizations, health insurance enrollment assistance, reproductive health services, and community health clinics.

Older adults are connected to services including home care assistance, senior centers, meal programs, social activities, and health screenings to support their independence and well-being.
Library & Enrichment Activities for Children:
We encourage literacy and learning through partnerships with local libraries that offer free educational programs, homework help, reading clubs, and early childhood enrichment activities.

In addition to SYEP, we link families to summer camps, arts programs, STEM workshops, and athletic activities to keep children and teens engaged during school breaks.
And Many More:

Support for Our Community
EThe Bedford-Stuyvesant Community Partnership plays a crucial role in building a more cohesive, resilient, and empowered community by offering inclusive, culturally responsive programs that serve individuals and families across all ages and backgrounds. Through its workshops and initiatives, the organization acts as a bridge, connecting people not only to services but also to one another, cultivating a deeper sense of belonging and shared responsibility within the Bed-Stuy neighborhood.
In particular, the Partnership supports the community by actively engaging, educating, and empowering families and children. Through family-focused programming, youth leadership opportunities, parenting workshops, and access to vital resources, the organization fosters environments where children can thrive and caregivers feel supported.
